An amazing day

I can’t believe how fast this trip is going! It has been truly unbelievable. Today we started the University Of Arkansas Clinton School Of Public Service. We met with a panel of students from the school. They gave us their views on the Civil Rights Movement. They also provided us with some inspiration, telling us we have the ability to make a difference in the world.

After the panel we traveled to the Heifer International World Headquarters Building. We got to learn about the workings of Heifer International. They are a great organization that tries to end world hunger by empowering the impoverished around the world. We also got to take a tour of their main office building, which won the Leeds Platinum Award, the highest award for a “green” building.

We then travelled to the Clinton Presidential Library and Museum. It was inspiring to see the exhibits—President Clinton is one of my favorite presidents and his time in office was very impressive. It was also great to see the personal side of the president.

After finishing up our afternoon in Arkansas we headed to Memphis, Tennessee. We got some free time to explore Beale Street and the rest of downtown Memphis. We enjoyed a delicious meal at Hard Rock Café. It was another wonderful day of the Civil Rights Pilgrimage. It is too bad it is coming to an end. What an experience.
