favorite places so far

I'd have to say my two favorite places we've visited have been Selma and New Orleans. I really enjoyed Selma because we got to meet JoAnne who actually participated in the march from Selma to Montgomery as an eleven year old girl. To hear her story and have her show us around her town was just absolutely amazing. New Orleans was also an amazing experience, not only for all the crazy adventures, but because there is so much history there. I found it very interesting that there were freed slaves living there and they lived right next door to middle and high class citizens. That's not something students ever learn in schools.
