I'm so impressed by the UW-Eau Claire students on this trip. Today we went to the Ebenezer Baptist Church -- what an experience! At the end of the service, we lined up with the whole congregation for a laying of hands blessing from the senior pastor. His sermon was so appropriate - don't let anyone distract you on your mission. Lots of history today - the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute brought home so personally much of the struggles for basic humanity. How many of you would be willing to face down angry mobs, fire hoses, etc. for your convictions. Very inspirational.
