From a Different Perspective

I often find myself thinking in class..."Am I the only that thinks this way?" Today we went to the University of Alabama Birmingham (UAB) and sat in the classroom of doctor Pamela King. Her class was "History of Alabama." We talked about the importance of Birmingham in the Civil Rights. I think the best of the experience was the fact that not only did she ask all of us our opinions on certain subjects like racism, but she also ask the students in her class. I really enjoyed listening to the perspectives of students from the south. It was great to see that some of them had similar ideas like myself. Im usually not the kid that doesn't raise his/her hand, but I know sometimes all of us can feel shy or scared because we think we are the only person in the class that thinks a certain way. I have always been someone that looks other peoples opinions and I think it was great seeing a different University..they did have Sodexo as well...weird we are only forever away from home...maybe UWEC and UAB aren't so different than one another.

Rosa Parks museum was great as well. I know you'll prob read about it in a different blog.

We went to Dreamland BBQ as well, I have never been called BABY so much in my life! lol
