The Journey Comes to an End

For me it has been an ongoing journey since the end of August when I got myself involved with this incredible opportunity. When I met with Jodi for the first time I had no clue that at this point in time I would have helped coordinate two trips. I think the keyword for this trip has been "Impromptu." Some of the big highlights for me on this go around were Rev. Lowery, Congressman John Lewis, standing at MLK Jr.'s pulpit in Dexter Baptist (the best part), hanging out with January, and New Orleans and its weather. I am really excited to start my research part of the project and going to present the information at the National Conference on Race and Ethnicity (NCORE). I am very thankful that I can say that I was apart of this experience!

Thanks for everyone who has contributed and gone on the trip!

  1. Thanks for the shout out! I enjoyed the trip this time so much. Please have asked me if it was as good this time around and I have always said better. I think that anything that we do in life we are going to get more out of the second time around. It soaks into your soul just a little more.
