Pictures from the Trip

The group with the pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Sarah, Kira and I after a buggy ride in New Orleans. It was all of ours first time in a carrage.
I would highly suggest this if you are visiting. It was delightful.

The lady in the picture with myself, Janna and Steve works in the Greyhound station in Birmingham. We stopped because Sarah and Janna wanted coffee and hot chocolate. Her husband was part of the freedom marches with the school children and she was one of the first girls to be intergrated in to the school system. Her story was powerful and just to have someone tell us an eyewitness account made the pilgrimage more meaningful.

The monument is Andrew Jackson with the backdrop of St. Louis Cathedral. In the 1980's Pope John Paul II made a visit and stayed. Although technically it would be considered a Basilica, the name stayed with it.
