24-Hour Countdown!

Usually, I don't believe in countdowns (one of my personal mantras has always been: "Don't count the days; make the days count"), but I AM counting down to the Civil Rights Pilgrimage this Winterim.

We are leaving tomorrow at 5:00 from in front of Towers, and I am so excited! This will be my third Civil Rights Pilgrimage, and the second trip that I'm helping to lead. I am looking forward to meeting everyone who will be on the CRP, seeing some of the same places on the itinerary, and seeing new places and having new experiences with new people. The weather isn't going to be tropical, by any means, but I'm hoping we'll at least be treated to some warmer-than-Wisconsin weather in the south!

Watch the blog for updates from the students on the Civil Rights Pilgrimage! We'll be doing our best to keep you in-the-know of what we've been up to, and we'll be sharing some pictures as well!

I know I'll enjoy sleeping in a bed tonight, because tomorrow evening we'll be sleeping on the bus en route to Atlanta, Georgia, the birthplace of Martin Luther King, Jr.! :)
