Day 3: Ebenezer Baptist Church

I was raised Catholic and have never had a church/religious/spiritual experience like I did this morning. I was amazed with the kindness and welcoming nature of all of the parishioners. The fact that they all sang a welcome song and came to personally welcome us by shaking our hands was great. It is one thing to see pictures and learn about historical facts in school and textbooks but is a total different experience actually being at the location of the historical events. There is just a feeling that you get and this is truly one of the most interesting and amazing experiences of my life, and it is just getting started.
